“Amazing Spider-Man” #700 First Printings, scheduled to ship January 2, 2013, are completely SOLD OUT!

We will haveÂ a small shipment of Second Printing (set to arriveÂ at the end of January), if you’d like a copy, please come by the store and prepay for one. Quantities are limited. Please, no phone calls.

Last weekend, we had our After Christmas Sale and we were very, very busy. We also received many, many phone calls for “Amazing Spider-Man” #700. I dealt with each request in the same way: I was open and honest- I told all who asked that “We’re sold out and could not get anymore First Printings.” Surprisingly enough some felt that if they asked me the SAME QUESTION multiple times over, it may yield a different answer. Very sorry, but if you ask me for something and I reply, “Sorry, I don’t have anymore- we’re completely sold out.” Asking me the same question (doesn’t matter how many times), isn’t going to get me to change my answer.

The reality is: we had a preorder which ended two months ago. We usually order a few extra copies, but those were quickly eaten up by some of our subscribers that missed the order deadline. We’re very sorry we couldn’t help you with this item.

Our shipment scheduled for the week of December 28 will NOT arrive until the first week of January.

Just got this email from my sales rep:

Hello folks, if you are receiving this email, that means you are one of the affected people by the Edmonton drop point truck delay that occurred on 12/24/12. A truck had broken down on Christmas Eve on the way from the states to Edmonton. Since it was Christmas Eve and the next day was Christmas Day, this provided a difficult task for the driver to get parts to repair the truck. I have been told the truck’s replacement parts were shipped today and are due to be there tomorrow to repair the truck. The truck is estimated to arrive in Edmonton on Monday 1/31/12 on New Year’s Eve. Please contact the drop point after or on Monday to make sure the truck is there before making the trip. If you are using a courier service to receive product from Edmonton, don’t expect delivery of product until at least Thursday 1/4/13. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause you and rest assured we will do our absolute best to get your product delivered to you by these estimated guidelines. If you have any questions feel free to contact me and I will do everything I can to help clarify any indiscretions you may have. Thank you folks for your time!!

Warmachine Year-Long League Playoffs

Year Long League Playoffs!

Date: December 2nd 2012

Cost: Free!

This event is only open to those who took part in the 2012 Year Long League and is an elimination tournament with three 40 point lists (no duplicate characters) using the Divide and Conquer and Deathclock rules (44 minutes per player). All games will use the Steamroller 2012 Gauntlet scenario. The main part of the elimination tournament will be between the top 15 players in the leagueÂ and a wildcard. The wildcard is randomly drawn from the other players that show up for the tournament and played at least a game each month. Players will be matched up based off of rankings, with the top player playing the bottom player and so on. The winner of the elimination tournament will receive the battlegroup box of their choice and the extreme model that was going to go on the Thunderground YLL Trophy.

The other part is the regular tournament. This will include everyone else plus those who have been eliminated from the main part of the tournament. Players will be paired up and the winner will be determined by who has the most wins, with the first tie breaker being control points, and the second tie breaker being points destroyed. The winner will receive the battlegroup box of their choice. Please note that this tournament is also where the players who played 3 games each month will get their prize, which is a random battlegroup box.

Timing: Open – 10:00am

Game 1 – 10:30 to 12:00

Game 2 – 12:30 to 1:30

Game 3 – 1:45 to 3:15

Game 4 – 3:30 to 5:00

Packed up, awards, and out the door by 6:00

To sign up all you need to do is sign up with Roy at Thunderground. Please make sure to book the time off now and let us know if you are coming so we can have enough tables set up.
