Two-Headed Giant (noun): aka “2HG” 1. Weird looking claymation monster that tried and failed to kill Jason and the Argonauts. 2. Ultra-cool, amazing, incredible, fantastic, uncanny (you get the picture) format, where two players work as a team to defeat two other players working as a team. Each team of two players share 30 and have communal phases- which means they untap at the same time, draw at the same time and attack at the same time.

 Haven’t tried 2HG? The best time to play in this format is at a Pre-Release and just as luck would have it- we’re having two Pre-Releases and two 2HG events! 2HG starts at 10 AM on Saturday, July 11 and 10 AM on Sunday, July 12! Make sure you sign up early!

$50 per team to enter. Each team receives 7 packs of M2010 and must make two decks of minimum 40 cards each.

A lot of people have approached me and asked to host this League to recapture the feel of the early days of Magic– “when rares were rare, decks were unpredictable, and cards were new”. I just think it’ll be fun to crush people with “Lightning Bolt“s, “Ball Lightning“s and “DarkSteel Colossus“es! If you feel that way too, just check out the rules for our League! *5 MEETINGS: 1 PM TO 5 PM ON SATURDAY JULY 18, 25,
AUGUST 1, 8, 15 (NO 4 CARD LIMIT)
*PLAYERS MAY CHALLENGE ANY OTHER LEAGUE
PLAYER TWICE PER MEETING
*EACH LEAGUE GAME IS “BEST OF 3” WITH NO TIME LIMIT

3. TRADING:
*PLAYER MAY TRADE WITH ANY OTHER LEAGUE PLAYER
AT ANY TIME SO LONG AS THEY TRADE CARDS FROM
THEIR POOL OF 2010 LEAGUE CARDS (NO OUTSIDE CARDS).

4. PRIZES AWARDED ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 15 AT 5 PM:

Wow, I can’t believe it’s almost 3 months without so much as a peep from me. Aw well, I promise to keep you more intune with what’s going on at the store.

For the month of May, it’s another three ring Magic circus! “UI” arrives April 30- RESERVE YOURS TODAY! With our Pre-Releases happening on Saturday, April 25 at 1 PM and Sunday, April 26 at 1 PM as well. Both Pre-Releases are sealed booster (NOT Draft) where we will be using 3 “Shards Of Alara” and 3 “Alara Reborn” packs! Side events inclufing drafts and 2HG will take place over the course of both entire days.
